Yes, I've heard and read about it, but until you actually do it, it doesn't sink in. Children need to have a schedule. Last weekend we started Trey on a scheduled nap time. He now takes his nap every day at 2:00pm. He complains a little, but it is more a perfunctorily complaint than an actual complaint.
Next we will be working on scheduled bed time, lunch and dinner. This will make his life and ours much more enjoyable.
With him taking scheduled naps I am more likely to see him awake when I get home. Before this he would end up falling asleep when Cherie and he got in the car to pick me up from the train station.
